Indeed! The ‘term’ god has outlived its importance. Most of us have almost forgotten what god really is and are just stuck to this one word. So much so that we are even ready to become extremely violent for ‘god’s sake’ and create bloodshed all across the globe! Another major handicap that this word has given birth to, is guilt. Rather than being loving towards god, we are always scared of this one name. We always feel that we are sinners and we deserve punishment for all that we do. And imagine how well do these ‘caretakers’ of religions (i.e., the priests, etc.) make use of this handicap as well as keep reinforcing it in our minds all the time.

It is time we remind ourselves what god really is. The name god is just a misnomer. Let me explain. Just as electricity runs billions of instruments across the globe and yet is the same, similarly this life energy called god runs through all the animate and inanimate objects in the universe and runs them. Just as the electricity in a lamp and a fan is the same and not two different forms of electricity, in the same way this life energy runs you in the same way as it runs me as well as any other being. Hence the concept of poor and rich or successful and failure does not hold ground as the same life energy is playing this naatak called maya and operating through us and all other living and non-living entities.

Think of it like this – a drop of water in the ocean is not really a ‘drop in the ocean’ but the ocean itself. We are all the same and the ocean is what we think to be god but we forget that we ourselves are god. The ancient Hindu scriptures have always mentioned this since ages as- aham brahmasmi, tatt tvam asi, jagat mithya brahm satya which means that I am god (and so are you). Instead of making these as religious jargons, there needs to be an urgent need to understand and live the real essence of this wisdom. But we have been conditioned in such a way that thinking ourselves as god could rather be a sin and we would be punished to have thought like that. Think about it and introspect on the same.

Believe it or not, this is the key to conflict management at the workplace and home. As Lord Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita while depicting the viraat roop, dev bhi main hun daanav bhi main hun, meaning that god exists in all of us in all our attributes and characters and to judge or stereotype anyone and acts with biases accordingly is nothing but foolish. Yes, as per the social protocols the boss is to be respected and instructions to be followed but internally we must understand that it is the divine consciousness at play, on both sided. It is just a divine drama and we are the characters in the same.

The purpose of a human life is to realise this divine truth and be in sync with this life energy. In other words, surrender to the divine will and keep working with the best of our abilities and intentions without caring about the results. We have to realise that this body is just a mixture of some chemicals, largely hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon and oxygen. That is not who we are. We are the energy that is running and sustaining this very body including the brain which thinks of us as the body. We have to realise that this conscious energy (chetna) that we actually are, inside this body, is the same which is running all life as well as all events on earth’s surface and inside it, and everything else in the universe.

And do you also realise that when it is the same life energy that is running all of us, then there is no real separation in the name of religion, caste, creed, financial status, etc. That all that is there, whether within humans or all other beings in the world is just the same oneness. And that there needs to be only love for all and there is no need to hate anyone, because all that is there is your own extension, just as electricity operating in so many instruments. Does the electricity in the house of a hindu hate the electricity in a muslim’s house? Or does the electricity in Mukesh Ambani’s house demean the electricity of a streetlight in a slum area? Then why do we all hate each other? We are all the same.

With stress burgeoning at the workplaces and organisations being unaware about how to keep an employee motivated other that throwing extra money and hitting the bottom line inspite of giving a salary, it is time that we understand the real essence of the word god and stop taking this word too seriously!!

Reality if life and god. God is within every human being and also god is universe. But instead od searcing god within we are searching outside and we get puzzled in different jargons.

If these concept of same electricity(Chetana) is accepted then what our politician does? Right from child hood or since human being evolved this differentiation is spreaded.

Still good capability of thinking and writing so many words.
