A Conversation With God (II)

Man: Yeah, yeah, ok, ok. Thanks.

Some time later the man who was in conversation with God felt the need to reconnect with God…

Man: Hello, God are you there?

God: Yes my son, I am always there whenever you call me.

Man: What the hell this life thing is? Its so difficult. It always keeps me on my toes. I slog throughout the day, still hardly earn enough to be satisfied. My neighbour is better off than me financially and he has a peaceful family life as well. I am always asking for more but getting very less in all aspects of life. Why me??

God: Well, I told you. Life is much more than what you perceive from your limited perspective. Every incident is inter related in this universe and happens in a perfect co ordination. You are unable to see the larger picture. So let me manage this life thing. You just live in This Present Moment because the present moment is the only truth in life, rest all is in the mind. Work what you like to and not what you have to, to drag your life daily, and then surrender all that to me. I will then constantly guide you directly in everything you do and ensure you maintain your peace of mind. Just forget your worries related to present and future life. There might be ups and downs in life but those are important as they will give you important lessons to live your life. Just trust me enough baby and surrender your control over life to me and enjoy life like a holiday. All expenses will be taken care of, by me. Don’t worry. You just open the doors of your heart so that I can enter. And that only you will have to do.

Man: Arey godji, the doors of my heart are always open for you, but surrender control? I have a mortgage installment next week and don’t have enough money to pay it. What do you want me to do about it? Surrender it to you and not think about it? I am rather thinking to go out of the way to get some money.

God: Oh don’t do that ever baby. My karmic laws are infallible. They will apply to you also, even if I love you. You will have to pay for it if you do something wrong.

Man: What are you talking god? I think you don’t love me anymore. Didn’t you see how my colleague has been misselling the insurance policies to his clients and still got promoted last week? You love such people more than the honest ones like me. I can see this everywhere around me.

God: Son, it is not like that. It’s a karmic world. They will not be spared. All the good things in their life are because of their good karmas in the past. But surely enough they will have to pay for what wrong they are doing! Also, what do you know about your colleague’s personal life. He is so upset about his family life that all this success hardly makes him happy. Also, no matter whatever amount of money he earns, his financial condition is always hand to mouth, thanks to his never ending appetite for stupid material things. My child, trust this law. Its infallible. Don’t you have trust on me?

Man: No no. I don’t believe you. I will do something about my emi. You don’t worry. I will see how I can manage life. But don’t worry, I will keep doing my religious rituals regularly and keep donating money to your temples. You do help me, if you want to, otherwise it’s ok. I will manage. Thanks Bye!

God: Listen son… It doesn’t work that way. It’s your actions in life more than these rituals that impress me. Son, listen…

He doesn’t listen anyways and hangs up and then does all that he wanted to. After some more time…

Man: God, are you there? See, even I got my promotion. Did you see my new sedan? Well, actually thanks for all that.
